Sharing the Christmas Spirit Hamper Program

For 2023, our team donated $775 to the Sharing the Christmas Spirit Hamper Program. This program has been operating in the valley since 1988 and has a major impact on families in need this time of year. They provide a meal delivered to homes and even a few extra goodies for the kiddos! We look forward to supporting them and their cause in the years ahead. Want to see how you can get involved? Comox Valley Hospice Society Annual New Years Event Sponsorship. The work of hospice is indeed "soul-work", and it takes a community to offer such compassionate care to ease the journey of dying and to support loved ones before, during, and after. This is one of the Hospice Societies major fundraisers which allows them to continue to offer exceptional end of life care and supports for the grieving heart, free of charge to residents of the Comox Valley. In 2022, close to 900 people from the Valley received services from our staff and over 50 dedicated volunteers.

From November 13-19, the four Tim Hortons stores in the Comox Valley have chosen YANA as their charity partner for the inaugural National Holiday SMILE Cookie campaign. Kelly Barnie, YANA Executive Director, expresses her gratitude, stating, "All the funds raised from the cookies will be used to assist our families travelling outside the Comox Valley to access medical care for their children. We're incredibly thankful to Tim Hortons for embracing our cause with this new campaign. We are Proud to be a part of this Delicious Event!
