SEOUL, Sept 22, 2026 -- Hyundai Motor Company's all-electric high-performance model IONIQ 6 N has won the Performance category at the German Car of the Year (GCOTY) Awards 2027, months after being named "World Performance Car."

An independent jury of automotive journalists recognized IONIQ 6 N for its combination of outstanding performance, precise handling and driver-focused design. This latest accolade underscores Hyundai Motor's continued commitment to performance, innovation and driver engagement within the high-performance EV segment.

"This award is a testament to our commitment to delivering the driving exhilaration that performance drivers crave without compromise. We will continue to push the boundaries of performance through emerging technologies and motorsports such as the Nürburgring 24 Hours as a development platform for future N models. --Joon Park, Vice President and Head of N Management Group
